Voters within Division 5, which includes Cathedral City and portions of eastern Palm Springs, will choose between two candidates as their representative on the five-member Desert Water Agency Board of Directors.
For Division 4, which covers most of central and south Palm Springs, there was only one candidate who filed to run for the position, so Paul Ortega will be appointed to DWA’s Board and assume office in December.
Elections for Directors to represent Divisions 1, 2 and 3, which cover the remainder of DWA’s boundaries, are scheduled for 2022.
