Five-Year Rate Plan

Background
The DWA Board of Directors approved a five-year rate increase plan at a public hearing on June 28, 2023.
New recycled water rates went into effect July 1, 2023. Water and wastewater rates went into effect January 1, 2024, and appeared on the February water bill.
The approved multi-year plan lays out potential increases for future years, but DWA’s Board of Directors will approve each increase before it is implemented.
DWA sent notices to customers to highlight why DWA was considering the rate changes. DWA also held a series of community workshops and a public hearing to share information and give the public an opportunity to ask questions and provide input.
Community meetings were held at the following times and locations:
- June 28, 2023, 8 a.m. at Desert Water Agency in Palm Springs.
- June 10, 2023, 2 p.m. at Cathedral City Senior Center
