UPDATE: Masks are now required for all visitors regardless of vaccination status. This change is in response to guidance from the County of Riverside, California Department of Public Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) .

Desert Water Agency re-opened its lobby to customers today. Lobby hours are 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday – Friday.

When California’s economy formally reopened earlier this month, almost all COVID-19 restrictions were lifted. Following suit, DWA’s Board of Directors decided to begin its return to normal operations.

Late fees will resume in August. We urge customers who are behind to get current to avoid a $25 charge. Crews will begin turning off water for unpaid bills starting in October.

There have been no water shutoffs or late fees since March of 2020 to help those affected by COVID.

In an effort to continue helping customers still struggling from COVID, DWA increased its Help2Others water bill assistance from $100 a year to $200 a year in May. The credit aims to help customers make significant progress on getting paid up.

Our team continues to work on securing more resources for our customers and is developing payment plans to help ratepayers get back on track. Customers can set up a payment plan by contacting the Agency at 760-323-4971 ext. 129.
