Desert Water Agency is hosting a tour on November 1 from 8:00 a.m. to noon. The tour will start at the agency's headquarters (1200 Gene Autry Trail in Palm Springs).
The Buzz bus will take attendees to Snow Creek to look at the facilities that bring the snowmelt from the creek into the water system; Whitewater hydro power plant to see Colorado River water generate power; and Mission Creek spreading ponds to see where the Colorado River water soaks into the aquifer. The tour is free to the public but seating is limited. There will be short walks during the tour.
