Desert Water Agency and the Palm Springs Hospitality Association partnered up on a Waste Reduction workshop Tuesday to help hotels and restaurants reduce their environmental impacts.
Supervisors, managers and owners in the foodservice or hotel industry attended.
Water conservation opportunities are at every corner in hotels – from the lobby to the pool to the rooms. Food service at hotels and restaurants can also save water directly with prep, plating and dishwashing techniques and indirectly by reducing their food waste.
Experts shared strategies to make properties more eco-friendly without compromising guest satisfaction.
