DWA will not turn any customer’s water off if they fail to pay their bill, nor will it collect any late fees – through January 19, 2021.

Desert Water Agency’s Board of Directors voted unanimously on Tuesday, Nov. 17 to continue the Agency’s customer relief efforts which have been in place since March 17, 2020. The Agency is also absorbing the credit card processing fees that customers previously paid.

DWA customers impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic can also take advantage of the Help2Others program which provides water bill credits up to $100 a year. Income requirements have been temporarily waived so that anyone financially affected by the pandemic can apply.

United Way of the Desert manages the fund and works with applicants. Customers can go to www.dwa.org/h2o to fill out a simple form for expedited approval. Ample funding is available for these credits.

DWA encourages those who can pay their bill to do so. For those struggling, we encourage them to apply for assistance from the Help2Others program – that way there isn’t a large outstanding amount when the bill comes due. Customers who want to set up payment plans should contact the Agency at 760-323-4971 ext 129.
