Notice of Disposition of Accumulated Unclaimed Money

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Desert Water Agency, County of Riverside, State of California, declares that the following monetary sums have been held by the Agency and have remained unclaimed for at least three years. In accordance with Government Code Sections 50050-50056, the monetary sums listed below will become the property of the Desert Water Agency on January 3, 2024, a date not less than forty-five (45) days nor more than sixty (60) days after the date of first publication of this Notice in a newspaper of general circulation within the Agency.

Any party of interest may, prior to the date provided above, file a claim with Desert Water Agency which includes the claimant’s name, address, amount of claim, the grounds on which the claim is founded and supporting documentation. Supporting documentation to confirm identity consists of a copy of the claimant’s driver’s license and business entity records if applicable.  Additionally, other supporting documentation may be provided to substantiate the right to the unclaimed funds. Upon receipt, the Agency will review the claim and shall accept or reject the claim. When such money becomes property of the Agency, it shall be transferred to the Agency’s Operating Fund.

The Agency has arranged for publication of the following list of unclaimed money on November 14, 2023, and the period to submit a claim will end on January 2, 2024.  Please ensure that the completed claim form is submitted with a copy of the claimant’s driver’s license and other supporting documentation to Desert Water Agency, Attention: Accounting Supervisor, PO Box 1710, Palm Springs, CA 92263 or by email to jslough@dwa.org no later than January 2, 2024.
